We have highlighted the changes done for Nitrocid KS, including its development. Nitrocid KS 0.1.0 Beta 1 was out on February 22nd, 2023, to allow you to get an early insight about how the new and upcoming kernel version would look like.
As for the updates regarding the development of Nitrocid KS, we’ve made a very important decision regarding the release of this version.
As for the second beta, we’ve finally set the release date for it. The release date is August 29th, 2023. As of July 27th, we’ll no longer accept any feature requests for the second beta, and any requests created after this date will go straight to the next beta version.
To thank you for your support, as an appreciation gift, we’ll give you a release date of the final version once the third beta finishes.
macOS users can now test the latest development build of Nitrocid KS. Give us your feedback so that we can try to improve support for macOS, as well as Windows, Linux, and Android.
The third beta will focus mostly on improvements. However, it’ll also focus on some feature additions, which is why we’ve decided to stop accepting feature requests for Beta 2 on July 27th. This is to ensure that we can deliver Nitrocid KS and all other dependents in the highest quality possible.
Some background about Beta 2: we’ve added many exciting features and improvements, which will be highlighted in a separate release-time article about this version.
As for the Backport Fridays, we’ll restart the project with Nitrocid KS (LTS versions only) and, hopefully, other applications (GRILO, ColorPrint), starting from August 4th! We’ve started this project in June 2022. Unfortunately, we’ve stopped backporting bug fixes to older series due to resource problems that happened at the end of August.
