Around the end of February and the start of March, Ubuntu recently announced that the above wallpaper will be used in the upcoming version, Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa, which should be released around April 23, 2020.
The new default Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa wallpapers are made, and then it began spreading around the whole Internet, including OMG Ubuntu! post.
As soon as it’s released, we will review the key features that it has, and its stability on VirtualBox machines.
Now, some of you might wonder what that lines coming from the eyes are doing. They are here because it was trying to focus on something. Some of you might take the lines as laser eyes.
It comes in three resolutions, the low one being 1920×1280, which is the one that is used in our Tapet Wallpaper Pack, the medium one being 2560×1440, and the high one being in the 4K resolution. Each resolution comes in colored and grey forms. Each color comes in JPG and PNG formats. They come in both plain and mascot variants.
The changes that will happen on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, including the GNOME 3.36 update, the Linux kernel update, and application updates, are being listed in this OMG Ubuntu! post.
If you want to enjoy Ubuntu 20.04 LTS earlier, please use either sudo do-release-upgrade -d command as root to upgrade your system (although it’s recommended to do a fresh install because this version is not released yet and might break your system), or do a fresh install.
Some Ubuntu users might stay with LTS releases, and some others upgrade their systems every time a new version of Ubuntu is released. All LTS versions will get 5 years of support and extended security maintenance, while the normal versions will only get 9 months of support.
When will the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ESM end? It’s April 2019. And it’s finished 11 months ago. We don’t recommend staying on the EOL versions, except for testing purposes.
